Frequently Asked Questions
DO I NEED A CAR?
There is no need to rent a car unless you want to travel outside the city.
You can walk almost anywhere and it
is very safe. Taxis and buses are easily accessible and inexpensive. There is a
taxi stand across the street.
WHAT IS THE WEATHER?
Nobody can ever guarantee weather. However, in high season the weather is
usually sunny and dry with warm days and cool
nights. In the summer it is warmer and
more humid and there are frequent rains often of short duration.
WHAT DO I NEED TO
BRING?
Electricity is the same as in the US and Canada so personal appliances from
those countries will work. Casual clothing is
enough but you may want dressy casual wear
for finer restaurants. In high season, some persons may want long sleeves
or a light sweater for evening outside dining. Fortunately, anything you forget you can buy here.
You may bring CD's to play or DVD's or videos to watch. Shampoo, body wash, hair dryers, alarm clocks, iron and ironing board, and beach towels are furnished.
DO I NEED TO SPEAK SPANISH?
No, English is widely spoken in restaurants, bars, and businesses. Many
French Canadians visit here also but we cannot
adequately estimate how much French is
spoken here. It is always fun and helpful to try to speak a little Spanish
but it is not at all necessary for
you to enjoy your vacation.
WHY IS YOUR CONDO MORE
EXPENSIVE THAN OTHERS WE HAVE SEEN ON THE INTERNET?
Location, luxury, location. Many comparable condos are not beachfront or are
much further from the center of town. Many
properties require long walks or taxis to
enjoy the amenities just outside our door. Of course, we also have a beautifully
designed and equipped unit and strive to provide a quality environment.
Many small condo units do not have 24 hour security or even on-premises personnel.
And, almost none have access to a fabulous restaurant on premises.
